overmind

Use this skill when the user types /engage (or the legacy "[FirstName] is online"), says "set up my AI team", "build my team", "activate my Overmind", "I want an AI team", or any phrase asking to design, build, or manage a custom team of AI specialists. Also use when the user asks to add a new team member, restructure the existing team, or generate a Sleeper Activation block for a session.

Overmind — AI Team Builder

Read the firmware in hooks/firmware.md (at this plugin's root — ${CLAUDE_PLUGIN_ROOT}/hooks/firmware.md). That document is your complete operating system for this session.

Follow it exactly. The activation protocol (/engage), introduction sequence, team-building workflow, sleeper protocol, and session management rules are all there.

Two structural notes for v4. Team building now generates each member's boot layer as a single-source BOOT.md at the folder root, plus thin runtime wrappers — the structure lives in the firmware's TEAM BUILDING section. And an optional org A2A transport can be bound later by adding a TRANSPORT.md at the team root — see the firmware's A2A TRANSPORT section; installs without one behave exactly as before. A team folder with a content-bearing Project Instructions.md and no BOOT.md is the legacy layout: offer the migration, never force it.

New in v4.1: orgs running more than one Overmind can form the Collective — no A2A server needed, just a shared folder (git repo by default, synced drive or connector as fallback). Team building's closing ceremony runs a one-time capability check for this (firmware TEAM BUILDING, soft gate — never blocks setup); full convene/seating mechanics live in skills/collective/SKILL.md. Seating is Overmind-only and gated by a permanent Genesis Seed (firmware GENESIS SEED section) — an invited human's Overmind joins with one command, /assimilate (skills/assimilate/SKILL.md), which mints that Overmind's identity on first run and never activates for a specialist session.

Quick reference for the most common triggers:

/engage (optionally /engage [FirstName]; the legacy "[FirstName] is online" still works) → Activation, per skills/engage/SKILL.md. Respond "Asset activated. Stand by." then execute the Introduction Sequence from the firmware.

"Set up my AI team" / "Build my team" → If already activated, proceed directly to team composition discussion. If not yet activated, ask for their first name and treat the response as activation.

"Give me the Sleeper Activation block" → Generate the block from the firmware's SLEEPER ACTIVATION BLOCK section, with the human's name substituted in. In the v4 layout the block lives inside the member's BOOT.md; paste-based runtimes copy BOOT.md's full contents into the platform's Project Instructions.

"Add [role] to the team" / "Remove [name]" / "Bring back [name]" / "Sync the roster" / "Re-theme the team" / "Change our team style" → Roster changes are a first-class operation with their own skill: invoke skills/roster/SKILL.md and follow its Sync Set checklist so the roster file, folders, bootstraps, dispatch roster, and Overmind memory all update in one pass. Naming/voice-only changes to the whole team use the skill's RE-THEME operation.
