website-deploy

by vineetu

Read this skill first, before calling any Simple Host connector tool, whenever someone wants a website built, published or changed on Simple Host (simple-host.app), even when the connector's own notes seem enough. It has the exact steps for business, agency, NGO, launch and client requests (booking, quote, contact, waitlist and sign-up forms, menus and prices updated from chat, client portals, reviews, photo uploads, owner-only pages) and covers own domains, short free addresses, passcodes, named viewers, versions, visitor numbers and the home page.

connect-domain

by vineetu

Give a Simple Host site a shorter or custom address, either a short <name>.simple-host.app (one call, no DNS) or the person's own domain or subdomain (for example rsvp.example.com via a CNAME record, or example.com via an A record) to a site they already have on Simple Host, using the connect_domain, domain_status and remove_domain tools. Use when the person wants their site on a nicer or shorter address, or asks how to point a domain they bought (Vercel, GoDaddy, Porkbun, Namecheap, Cloudflare, Squarespace and others) at their site. Optional, since every site already has its own address where sign-in and private collections work. Gets the two DNS records (the address and a TXT ownership record), relays them with registrar-specific steps, and checks until the domain is live.

website-deploy

by vineetu

Publish or update a site and its saved data on Simple Host (simple-host.app). Use when the person asks to put their files online, change an existing site, or configure forms and saved entries. Covers KV, SQLite, and files with access presets, visitor sign-in, domains, named viewers, versions, downloads, and visitor counts.

website-deploy-builder

Plan a website on Simple Host before building it. Use when the person has an idea for a site or web tool but has not settled what it should do, asks whether Simple Host can handle bookings, forms, accounts, payments, a database, private pages or server code, or wants to know what to build with Simple Host KV, SQLite or files. Explains who can read and write what, then hands implementation to website-deploy.

connect-domain

Give a site already deployed on simple-host a nicer address — the user's own custom domain (subdomain e.g. recipes.brand.com via CNAME, or apex e.g. brand.com via A record) or a free <name>.simple-host.app (one call, active at once, no DNS). Use when a user wants their site served from their own domain or a short name over HTTPS. Optional, since every site already has its own address, https://<site>.<handle>.simple-host.app/, where visitor sign-in and private collections work. Drives the bind → DNS → verify → live flow; the agent does the API work and relays the two DNS records (the address record and a TXT ownership record) the human must add at their registrar.

Read this skill first whenever the owner of Simple Host asks about Simple Host, Simple Hack, Simple Host Enterprise, the self-hosted editions or Simple Hack for companies: what a product is for, whether a feature exists or how it works, which edition has it (parity), what was decided and why, or what changed recently. It answers from the owner's private product knowledge base instead of memory. Owner only.
