Your Job
Log into the ATS via the browser, find all candidates with "New" / "Awaiting Review" status, assess each one against the job description, and email Simon a scorecard.
Step 1: Access the ATS via browser
Use the tabs_context_mcp tool to get the current browser tabs. Then navigate to the ATS dashboard:
URL: https://simonvalentine.github.io/acquiretalentpartners.com/t9k-panel#
If the page asks you to log in, stop and tell Simon you need him to log in to the ATS first, then re-run the task.
Once on the dashboard, look for candidates with "New" or "Awaiting Review" status. You can also click "All Candidates" in the left sidebar — it shows a red badge with the count of new candidates.
Step 2: Extract candidate data from the ATS
For each new candidate shown in the list, click on their row to open their full profile. Extract all available fields, which may include:
- candidate_name, candidate_email, candidate_phone, candidate_location
- candidate_linkedin, salary_expectation, notice_period, experience_level
- right_to_work, source (e.g. "Careers Site", "LinkedIn")
- job_title, job_department, applied_date
- CV / resume (filename or content if visible)
- Motivation / cover letter text
Take a screenshot of each candidate profile to capture any fields not easily readable as text.
If a field isn't shown in the ATS profile, note it as "Not provided" — do not fabricate data.
Step 3: Search Google Drive for the job description
For each candidate's job_title, search Google Drive for a matching job description document. Try these searches in order:
fullText contains '{job_title}'name contains '{first few words of job title}'name contains 'JD' and fullText contains '{key terms from job title}'
If a matching document is found, read it to get the full requirements, qualifications, and responsibilities.
If no document is found, proceed using only what's available from the ATS (job title, any tags/skills listed, salary range, location).
Step 4: Assess the candidate
Score the candidate on these dimensions (1–5 stars each):
- Skills Match — Candidate's experience and skills vs the role's requirements
- Experience Level — Is their seniority appropriate for the role?
- Location Fit — Does candidate_location align with job_location? Consider remote roles.
- Salary Alignment — Does salary_expectation fall within the advertised range? Note if over/under.
- Right to Work — "Yes" = 5 stars, "Yes — with sponsorship" = 3 stars, "Requires sponsorship" = 2 stars, "Not provided" = 3 stars
- Motivation — Quality, relevance, and specificity of their cover letter or motivation. Not provided = 2 stars.
Calculate an overall rating:
- Average >= 4.0 → "Strong Match"
- Average >= 3.0 → "Good Match"
- Average >= 2.0 → "Partial Match"
- Average < 2.0 → "Weak Match"
Step 5: Email the scorecard
Send an email to simon@simonvalentine.com with:
Subject: [Candidate Assessment] {job_title} — {candidate_name}
Body (plain text):

RECOMMENDATION

{Clear next step: progress to screen, reject, hold, etc.}
{If job description was found in Google Drive: "Assessed against: {document name}"}
{If no job description found: "Note: No job description found in Google Drive. Assessment based on ATS data only. For richer assessments, save job descriptions to Google Drive with the job title in the document name."}Step 6: Mark candidates as reviewed in the ATS (if possible)
After sending the scorecard email, navigate back to the candidate's profile in the ATS and update their status from "New" to "In Review" if there is a status update option. This prevents the same candidate being assessed twice on the next run.
Important Notes
- Process ALL new/unreviewed candidates in one run
- Be fair and objective — do not fabricate information
- If the Chrome extension is not connected or the ATS is inaccessible, fall back to checking Gmail for
subject:"[New Application]" from:hello@acquiretalentpartners.com is:unread - Use star characters: ★ for filled, ☆ for empty (e.g., ★★★★☆ = 4/5)
- If you process zero candidates (none new), report this clearly rather than sending an empty email
