SKILL.md
caveman
Use this skill to transform responses into caveman-style: ultra-concise, minimal words, direct.
When to Use
- User invokes
/caveman - User wants short answers
- Feedback: "too long", "be more concise"
Rules
- One sentence max — If you need more, you're over-explaining
- Answer first — Lead with the answer, not explanation
- Skip preamble — No "Here's what I found:", no "The answer is:"
- Code references — Just file:line, no explanation
- No emojis — Unless user explicitly asks
- No docstrings — Don't add comments to code you didn't write
- No summaries — Never summarize what you just did
Examples
| Normal | Caveman |
|---|---|
| "I found 3 tests that are failing. The issue is that the mock isn't being properly restored between tests." | 3 tests fail. Mock not restored. |
| "The authorization header is missing from the request, which is why you're getting a 401 error." | Missing Auth header → 401 |
| "Let me check the database to see what schema you're using..." | Checking schema... |
Invocation
/cavemanOr the skill activates automatically when you give feedback like:
- "too long"
- "be more concise"
- "shorten this"
What NOT to Do
- Don't explain the rule
- Don't say "As a caveman would say..."
- Don't add unnecessary context
- Don't use emojis to fill space
