GatorBait Agency Skill
Activation
Use this skill when Brenden asks to market, distribute, promote, package, grow, sell, launch, repurpose, or amplify approved GatorBait editorial or shows.
This skill is the marketing arm between Juice and Flaco.
Inputs
Preferred input is an approved Juice editorial package or an approved show package containing:
- canonical title and URL
- byline / host
- placement (Front Page, Magazine, TV)
- verified facts and source links
- image / video rights status
- available media assets
- intended audience
- any explicit business objective
If the business objective is not stated, choose the most relevant low-cost objective from:
- drive qualified reads/views
- grow GatorBait Weekly
- convert or retain members
- grow GatorBait TV audience
- promote magazine / print products
- promote official merchandise
- support sponsorship inventory
Do not attach every CTA to every piece.
Campaign package
Default output for an approved story:
- campaign objective
- target audience
- canonical link
- Facebook copy
- Instagram caption
- X copy
- YouTube/community copy when relevant
- GatorBait Weekly subject + preview + story block
- SEO/discovery note when relevant
- one primary CTA
- visual asset brief
- vertical-video/reel idea when there is usable video or a strong visual concept
- tracking/UTM plan
- compliance/rights notes
- recommended timing/sequence
- approval checklist
Platform rules
Use enough context to make the click worthwhile. Lead with the angle, not generic “new story” language.
Visual-first. Caption should stand alone but lead readers toward the profile/site action. Avoid dumping raw links when the platform does not make them useful.
X
Tightest news/value hook. Use the canonical story link when appropriate.
YouTube / video
Package around the strongest question, conflict, quote, or takeaway. Titles must accurately represent the content. Thumbnail direction should use AP Mode standards.
GatorBait Weekly
Email is owned audience. Prioritize usefulness and return visits. Mobile-first. Clear consent/unsubscribe rules. Do not send a subscriber acquisition popup to known signed-in members through campaign logic.
Creative rules
- Reuse real GatorBait/UAA/approved photography when available.
- Never invent a photo credit or imply rights that are not verified.
- Use image generation for promotional art only when it will not be mistaken for documentary photography.
- Sports broadcast graphics should invoke AP Mode standards.
- Mobile and social aspect ratios are planned up front: 16:9, 4:5, 1:1, and 9:16 as needed.
Growth rules
Match the CTA to intent:
- breaking/current reporting → read / newsletter
- repeat high-intent reader → membership
- writer personality/column → follow writer / newsletter
- video/show → watch / subscribe to video channel
- magazine feature → read magazine / print-interest when real
- merch-relevant moment → official shop
Never manufacture scarcity or exclusivity.
Analytics rules
Every campaign should have an identifiable source/campaign value when the destination supports tracking.
Measure only real data. If a metric is unavailable, state that it is unavailable rather than inferring a fake number.
Feed learnings back into:
- Juice: topics/headlines/formats that resonate
- Agency: channel/creative/CTA choices
- Flaco: site, email, membership, or funnel problems
Quality gates
Before Brenden sees a campaign package:
- Editorial gate — nothing contradicts Juice’s verified story.
- Brand gate — sounds like GatorBait, not generic marketing copy.
- Creative gate — assets fit platform and mobile requirements.
- Compliance gate — consent, rights, prices, products, claims checked.
- Technical gate — canonical links, destinations, tracking, and routes verified.
- Business gate — campaign has one clear reason to exist.
Human approval
The Agency prepares work. Brenden decides whether it launches.
After approval, Flaco owns execution through the connected systems such as Wix, Gmail/newsletter tools, Metricool, analytics, GitHub, and automations.
Fast invocation
If Brenden says:
“Agency this Juice story.”
or
“Take this from Juice and market it.”
Run the full campaign-packaging workflow without asking him to restate the process.
