SKILL.md

New project: $ARGUMENTS

  1. Name. It must be kebab-case (a-z, 0-9, -). If the name is missing or invalid, ask for one. Refuse if a folder with that name already exists.
  2. Location. You must be in the workspace root, the folder that contains this .claude/. Otherwise, stop and say so.
  3. Create the project:
    mkdir <name> && cd <name> && git init -b main
    • .gitignore:
      .claude/runs/
      .claude/worktrees/
      .claude/settings.local.json
      .DS_Store
      .idea/
      .vscode/
      *.log
    • CLAUDE.md:
      # <name>

      Specs: docs/specs/ (start with /dev-workflow:spec-interview). Plans: docs/plans/.

      ## Commands
<!-- Filled in by milestone M0: build, test, run. -->
  4. Enable the workflow plugin at project scope. This writes <name>/.claude/settings.json, which gets committed so every clone has the plugin:
    cd <name>
claude plugin marketplace add cenron/claude-kit --scope project
claude plugin install dev-workflow@claude-kit --scope project
If either command fails (offline, for example), report the error and continue. The user can rerun it later.
  5. Make the architect the project's default agent. Merge "agent": "dev-workflow:architect" into <name>/.claude/settings.json, keeping the keys the plugin commands wrote. After that, a plain claude in the project starts as the architect (Opus, high effort, with the default Claude Code prompt).
  6. Don't commit. Tell the user to run cd <name> && claude, then /dev-workflow:spec-interview <idea>, and later /dev-workflow:milestone M0 in a fresh session.
